  • Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli greets World War II veterans participating in the Honor Flight tour before their departure for Washington, D.C. The attorney general cheered on the veterans and thanked them for their years of service. The veterans then headed north to tour the World War II Memorial, Arlington Cemetery, the Iwo Jima Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, and the Quantico Marine Corps Museum. They received letters from family and school children on the return trip.

  • On Saturday, November 8, 2010, the Attorney General sponsored a Community Day in Newport News, Virginia.  Over 100 volunteers gathered to clean up and plant flowers and trees in the 29th and Oak Mini Park, at the historical Newsome House, and the surrounding neighborhood.  The Newport News Police Department, Sheriff Department, City Council, local churches, Home Depot, and Chili's all sent representatives and/or equipment out to help in the clean up effort.
