Harold Pyon has a long history of public service with over 30 years of experience shaping and leading change within communities across the Commonwealth of Virginia. In January 2022 he was appointed by Governor Youngkin to be Virginia’s Deputy Director of the Office of Diversity and, Opportunity, and Inclusion and was reappointed by Governor Youngkin in April 2022 to serve as the Virginia’s Deputy Commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry. In May 2023, he was appointed by Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares to be his Senior Advisor for outreach.

He received a B.S degree in Chemistry from the Virginia Commonwealth University, a M.S degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Certificate of Advanced Public Management from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University. Harold and his wife, June, live in Northern Virginia and have one grown daughter.
